JSPE is
an interdisciplinary association devoted to the study,
development, and application of political economy
to social problems. JSPE with the present membership
of 1000 academic political economists was founded
in 1959 and since then has played a central role in
the study of political economy in Japan. For more

JSPE invites proposals for the English sessions in
the following two categories:
English Sessions 1: Topics relating to the plenary
session such as (1) structural change of the world
economy and transformation of the Japanese social
economic system, and (2) an alternative framework
to replace the neo-liberal paradigm
English Sessions 2: All proposals reflecting the tradition
and analytical perspective of JSPE which include environment,
gender, regional economies, crisis, globalization,
inequality, and Marxian economics, are welcome.

Submission Procedures and the
Deadline:
Proposals should reach the JSPE Committee for International
Communication and Exchange (Jspecice@jspe.gr.jp
) by 13 June 2010 at
the latest.
When submitting your proposal, please include:
- The title of proposed paper and the category of
the session;
- Name and affiliation;
- E-mail and postal address;
- An abstract (up to 200 words).
Notification of acceptance
will be sent by 27June.
Cost:
Attendants will pay their conference fee (5000 yen
per person including the conference buffet), as well
as their own transportation, accommodation and other
personal expenses.
