The Corporate Strategy and Industrial Development (CSID) Research Programme invites applications for the position of Senior Researcher. The CSID has established itself as a leading research programme in South Africa in its areas of specialisation. We have established links and research partnerships with major role-players in government and the private sector.

Our main research themes are:

•   Industrial development, and industrial policy
•   Economic structure, competition policy and regulation
•   Macroeconomic environment affecting industrial development
•   Local and regional economic development
•   Global financialization and corporate change

Candidates must have a Masters degree in Economics, and/or Development Economics; and at least three year's research experience. Candidates with a PhD or studying towards a PhD in Economics will have an added advantage. The successful candidate will lead research projects and interact with policy-makers. Publications in accredited journals are also expected of senior researchers.

Remuneration: A competitive package will be negotiated.
