Should Argentina Accept an IMF-Revision - or Rather Turn to an Independent Rating
Agency Instead?

Argentina's demand that the IMF must not be involved in the negotiation of the country's bilateral debts and arrears is understandable and reasonable. The review should instead be done by a totally neutral institution, technically able to do it, and enjoying a good reputation: a rating agency.
