Call for Applications IAFFE School in Feminist Economics, Cape Town, South Africa, 4-5 July 2023.

The IAFFE school is designed to bring together 20-30 early career scholars, activists and policy makers engaged in research and action directly related to Feminist Economics, but who would like access to additional formal training in feminist economics.  The IAFFE school will be one and a half days of workshops that provide participants with a grounding in key aspects of feminist economics thinking,  methodologies, and policy applications through reflection on their own practices and experiences. The first IAFFE school is held in South Africa, and as such will offer a special focus on FE thought and practices in the African continent. There is no participation fee in the IAFFE school and travel grants are available to participants. Basic English language skills would be necessary to participate in the IAFFE School. Participants are strongly encouraged to attend the IAFFE international conference and pre-conference workshop immediately after the IAFFE school (July 5th – 8th, 2023).

If you are accepted into the IAFFE School, you will be eligible for grant funding for airfare, accommodation, and conference fees covering the IAFFE School and participation in the IAFFE conference. Meals and local transportation will be provided during the IAFFE school. There will be a need to cover some meal expenses during the IAFFE pre-conference and conference.
