Turkish Currency Crisis of 2000-01 Nazim K. Ekinci and Korkut Erturk
This paper looks back at the Turkish currency crisis and argues that the real cause of capital reversal was profit taking on the part of the foreign speculative investors holding government securities who conjectured that falling interest rates had reached their limit at the time.
